Intern Spotlight: Aimee Fuller

Aimee is a UC Davis student studying Wildlife and Fish Conservation Biology.

Learning to use ArcGIS, gaining Swainson’s Hawk survey skills, and bird ID skills in general are Aimee’s favorite work during her internship. She will graduate soon and enter the workforce and believes having these skills and experience will invaluable in getting her foot in the door.

I think that ecological restoration is one of the most important aspects of conservation given that, in reality, pristine habitat is hard to come by; but there is so much space that can be made habitable with some work.

Aimee Fuller, 2024

Aimee’s best memories include spotting a Great Horned Owl and his mate in a nest nearby, exploding duck eggs, and trekking through knee-deep sludge!
